Hafren Donates Fasteners to Local Canal Bridge Repair
The Grand Re-Opening!

The footbridge in Welshpool was officially reopened on January 24 at a ceremony celebrating the hard work and collaboration that brought this important community project to life. Hafren Security Fasteners is delighted to have contributed by donating our Pin Hex bolts and Kinmar Removable nuts, making the bridge not only safe and durable but also tamper-proof for added long-term security.
The bridge, which replaced an outdated and unsafe structure, has already been in use since its completion in August 2024. However, the official opening provided an opportunity to recognise everyone involved. Our team proudly attended the event in our signature bright orange blazers, joining the project’s generous benefactor James Potter, the Welshpool Town Council, and many others who worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life.
It’s fantastic to see this new and improved bridge providing a safer, more accessible, and secure crossing for the community—and to know we’ve contributed to something that will benefit the town for years to come!
