Hafren Security Ratings

Security Level 1

Entry Level
Fasteners offer protection from vandalism and opportunistic crime. Drivers can be purchased by the general public.

Security Level 2

Enhanced Security
Fasteners are less Common and less Recognizable. Driver Tooling is non-standard and Harder for the general public to buy.

Security Level 3

Medium Security
Rarer (less well-known) products. Supply of driver tooling is controlled, less readily available to buy, enhancing the security of the assembly.

Security Level 4

High Security
Either 1-way permanent fixing, or rare Hafren patented high security products requiring specialist tooling to remove (only available from Hafren approved distributors).

Security Level 5

Maximum Security
Highest security available. Products are either 1-way permanent fixings, or require bespoke exclusive, custom made driver tools to remove.

Hafren Security Fastener bits are known for their quality and durability; and now to help identify our quality bits, we have upgraded the look and feel of them by stocking them in a high-quality gunmetal finish and by stamping them with the Hafren part code and name.

Early feedback from customers says, “they offer a very tight fit with the screw, which enables increased accuracy and reduced fatigue [for the tradesperson]; as less force needs to be applied to prevent cam-out.”

The range is available across all our popular security drives, including; Pin Hex, 6-Lobe Pin, 5-Lobe Pin, Power6™ and 2-Hole drive. The range is also offered in standard length (25mm) bits, extra long (50mm) extended bits, L-key wrench and our ergonomically designed one-piece handheld screwdrivers.

Hafren Fasteners decided to introduce their own branded bits when they noticed a gap in the market for ‘high-quality’ driver bits, designed with the distributor and end user in mind. “We were often finding customers unnecessarily requesting high numbers of driver bits with their order of Security Fasteners; a habit they had picked up when buying lesser quality bits and finding that many would break when working in high use conditions. After using the Hafren bits they noticed a much-improved life span, with one bit being more than adequate for a job that would have required 5-6 lesser quality driver bits” Says Matthew Lynes - Managing Director. “Our driver bits are consistently outperforming and outlasting other security fastener tooling on the market; increasing productivity and saving our clients time and money”.
